Valley Junior High School
Student Government Association
Where students can make a differenceGetting involved with the Valley Junior High School Student Government Association (SGA) allows students to have a say in what activities and events are planned during the school year. Members of the SGA also help organize school fundraisers and perform community service. SGA members are elected yearly by their classmates and faculty.
Through these activities and more, members of the SGA gain valuable experience in student government and become more responsible, active members of the Valley Junior High School community. The SGA is comprised of students in grades 5-8.
Members of the Student Government Assocication are expected to
- Attend SGA meetings as called by the Principal and/or SGA Sponsor.
- Provide grade level student feedback and voice student ideas and concerns at SGA meetings.
- Serve as role models and leaders to the student body.
- Volunteer at school events and help organize school service projects and fundraisers
- Provide a monthly written report on interesting grade-level learning projects or fun classroom learning activities.
- Serve as peer tutors in the classroom when requested by the teacher.
